Committed to excellence in orthopedics, sports medicine and patient care, Nicole Fava joined Asheville Orthopaedic Associates in February 2018. She works with Marc Haro, M.D. as a physician assistant and brings a unique blend of experience to Western North Carolina. Prior to earning her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Nicole worked as an athletic trainer at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For more than 10 years, she helped keep their national championship women’s soccer team and women’s rowing team strong and healthy. She also worked with a regional girl’s soccer Olympic development program. In addition, Nicole holds a master’s degree in athletic training from UNC Chapel Hill and an undergraduate degree in athletic training from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.
