Asheville orthopedic surgeon Gordon I. Groh, MD has been selected by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons to participate as a lecturer for a regional shoulder surgery symposium. Dr. Groh will discuss treatment algorithms for shoulder injuries including surgical management. The course will take place in Nashville Tennessee and has registration from orthopedic surgeons throughout the southeast as attendees.

Dr. Groh Nominated to Serve as Examiner for the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery

Asheville orthopedic surgeon Gordon I. Groh, MD has been selected by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) to serve as an examiner in the board certification process which all orthopedic surgeons in the United States must participate. Dr. Groh will examine both orthopedic surgeons in practice as well as those who have recently completed training. The examination is set to be held over 5 days in Chicago with Dr. Groh asked to participate based on his unique position in shoulder surgery and hand surgery.

Dr. Groh Chosen to Publish in Instructional Course Lecture Series by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons

Asheville orthopedic Surgeon Gordon I. Groh, MD developed an award winning Instructional Course Lecture Series for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). Dr. Groh was asked to include this course in a publication from the AAOS. The Instructional Course Monograph will include the other top 20 lecture series presented at the AAOS annual meeting. Dr. Groh Chairs Scientific Session on Reverse Shoulder Replacement for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Meeting

Asheville orthopedic surgeon Gordon I. Groh, MD was reappointed to the Shoulder and Elbow Program Committee for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). Dr. Groh has served in this capacity during the past two years. As his next task, Dr. Groh will lead the evaluation of the scientific program regarding reverse shoulder replacement at the annual AAOS meeting. The meeting will be held in Orlando FL and has over 10,000 orthopedic surgeons from around the world registered for attendance. Dr. Groh was an evaluator for the inclusion of presentations at this meeting and their subsequent publication.

Asheville orthopedic surgeon Gordon I. Groh, MD has been selected to present an educational workshop by Acumed, a leading orthopedic implant company. The workshop will focus on fractures of the shoulder and clavicle with Dr. Groh delivering key lectures on the subject material. Dr. Groh will also lead a lab to demonstrate the surgical techniques from the lecture material.
