This Total Joint Program provides direct communication between Asheville Orthopaedic Associates and Mission Hospital and provides a direct point of contact for patients during their course of care. What to Expect With Total Joint Surgery
Our Total Joint Program provides a completely patient-focused experience. This means that members of our Total Joint Team will be with you every step of the way to ensure your surgery and recovery is a complete success.
Our Total Joint Program provides:
- A Nurse Care Coordinator who oversees your entire care process and is your resource before, during and after discharge.
- A class 2 weeks before your surgery to meet your Nurse Care Coordinator, learn about the procedure, and learn how to care for yourself after discharge.
- A comprehensive guidebook that explains joint surgery and strength exercises
- A coach, usually a family member or friend, who learns the program and works along with you.
- Surgeons trained in advanced pain relief and minimally invasive surgical techniques that result in less pain and quicker recovery
Pre-Operative Patient Education
